“Prayer: The Daily Armor of the Security Officer”

In a world of uncertainty, vigilance, and split-second decisions, security officers stand as the first line of defense—guarding lives, property, and peace of mind.

But behind the badge, there’s a human heart.

Daily prayer is more than a spiritual ritual, it’s a source of strength, clarity, and composure. For a security officer, prayer renews the mind, restores the soul, and reinforces the core values of ethics, strength, service, empathy, courage, and self-control.

Through prayer:

  • Ethics are kept sharp—right remains right, even when no one is watching.

  • Strength is drawn not just from the body, but from faith.

  • Service becomes more than duty—it becomes a calling.

  • Empathy grows for those they protect, even in silence.

  • Courage rises to meet fear with resolve.

  • Self-control anchors their response in wisdom, not impulse.

So, to every security officer: Begin your day with prayer. It is your invisible armor. Your unseen partner. Your internal command post.

Protect others—by first protecting your spirit.

This message is brought to you in support of our dedicated security professionals. Stay strong. Stay prayerful. Stay prepared.

Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is a federal ID card issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The purpose of a TWIC card is to give authorized workers access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities. The card is aligned with government standards for federal employee, service member, and contractor smart card credentials. Anyone with unescorted access to a secure area at an MTSA-regulated facility, vessel, or outer continental shelf (OCS) facility must have a TWIC. The card contains an Integrated Circuit Chip (ICC) that holds biographic and biometric information, and which can be read by inserting into a reader or holding in front of a contactless reader.

Security tips for Houses of Worship

Here are some basic precautions we can take to protect our House of worship.

  1. Make sure your doors to the sanctuary remain closed. It serves as an impedance.

  2. Make sure your usher at the back door remains standing.

  3. Should there be a need for an emergency exit, sake sure members with disabilities and the elderly are assigned a member to assist them outside of the church.

  4. Have a planned fire drill before or after this service.

  5. SORA 100 LLC is available to review your church’s security and evacuation plan.
